The role:
- As an Aircraft Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily flying operations by delivering high‑quality aircraft maintenance, servicing and ground handling duties.
- Working as part of our Aviation business, you’ll contribute to the safe preparation, inspection and operation of aircraft to meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.
- This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly skilled engineering team in a fast‑paced and safety‑critical environment.
Day‑to‑day, you will be:
- Preparing aircraft for daily flying, including ground handling, servicing and replenishment of fuel and oil.
- Supporting scheduled and corrective maintenance tasks under the direction of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
- Carrying out inspections, aircraft movement activities and other engineering‑related tasks to maintain aircraft readiness.
- Completing accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with safety, maintenance and airfield driving standards.
- Collaborating with engineers, inspectors and operational teams to support safe and efficient flying operations.
This is a full‑time, onsite role working 40 hours per week, with shift patterns that may vary to meet operational requirements, including weekends.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:
- Ability to interpret and understand technical engineering data.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in an aircraft maintenance or similar technical environment, or recently qualified and eager to develop further.
Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician:
- Recognised aircraft apprenticeship, military aircraft engineering background or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance engineering procedures.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to meet Colour Perception Test 2 requirements for airfield operations.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (EDBS) / Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
