The role

As a Systems Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll join a growing and dynamic systems engineering team delivering critical work across a major nuclear programme. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Deliver systems engineering activities including requirements engineering, system design and integration planning
  • Support technical reviews and contribute to system development across the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Manage requirements, assumptions, and risks to support successful project outcomes
  • Work as part of a specialist systems engineering team within a larger programme environment

This full-time role is based across our Bristol or Warrington sites working a 37-hour week, with hybrid working patterns available.

Essential experience of the Systems Engineer

  • Experience in requirements engineering, systems architecture, interface management, or integration, verification and validation
  • Demonstrable experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Understanding of the full engineering or project lifecycle
  • Experience supporting technical reviews and engineering governance processes
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools or structured systems engineering approaches

Qualifications for the Systems Engineer

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Awareness of systems engineering standards such as those developed by the International Council on Systems Engineering is desirable

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
