The role: As a Senior Digital Engineer - BIM, you’ll help shape the future of digital delivery across high‑profile defence and nuclear engineering programmes. Day‑to‑day, you’ll have the opportunity to influence national infrastructure by guiding how vital information, models and data are created, shared and governed. Your work will help ensure our engineering teams deliver safely, efficiently and to the highest digital standards, while developing your own expertise in a field that continues to grow rapidly across the defence, aerospace and engineering sectors.
- Lead the development, implementation and improvement of BIM and digital engineering processes.
- Review and interpret client digital and BIM requirements, contributing to high‑quality contract documentation.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams on digital standards, naming conventions and information workflows.
- Conduct model audits, clash detection and design coordination activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Produce and maintain guidance documentation, templates and digital standards to support consistent project delivery.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential experience:
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 and digital information management processes.
- Experience developing BIM Execution Plans and information delivery plans (MIDP/TIDP).
- Skilled in digital workflows such as clash detection, design coordination and data reviews (e.g., COBie, IFC).
- Knowledge of common data environments (CDEs); Asite experience desirable.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments (nuclear or defence preferred), with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Additional digital engineering, BIM or information management training or certification – Desirable.
