The Role

As an Electrical Authorised Person, you will have a great opportunity to progress your career and build your skills in a supportive environment. Operating and maintaining the Mission Systems Electrical systems and associated plant and equipment to ensure that LV supplies are available to ensure both business continuity and operational readiness across multiple operational sites. This is a full-time position supporting the Electrical infrastructure and associated plant and equipment, including LV systems. Day-to-day, you’ll carry out Basic to intermediate Electrical Design work to support the team and customers requirement for Design and verification for Electrical installations across the sites.

  • Basic to intermediate Electrical Design and contribute to customer projects for the provision of upgrades & new installations
  • Implement Safe System of Work for any Infrastructure works on LV systems
  • Hold and Maintain the Skilled Persons Register for all Electrical SQEP on site including contractors
  • Design verification and Cable design
  • Attend and contribute to design reviews
  • Electrical reviews of Skilled Persons

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days onsite and 1 day working from home.

Essential experience of the Electrical Authorised Person

  • Experience using Electrical Design software (desirable)
  • Experience of working with Electrical Switchgear and distribution equipment
  • Previous experience of operating or maintaining electrical plant and equipment.
  • Experience creating and working under safety permits

Qualifications for the Electrical Authorised Person

  • Time served apprenticeship and Level 3 Electrical Qualification
  • City and Guilds 2391 Periodic Verification inspection & Testing (or equivalent)

The successful candidate must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
