The role:

  • As a Vehicle Paint Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
  • You will be a vital part of our Land sector team, supporting the refurbishment and finishing of military vehicles and equipment.
  • Your expertise will ensure every asset meets exacting quality and durability standards, ready for service in demanding environments.

Day-to-day you’ll be required to:

  • Prepare surfaces by masking, washing, blasting, filling, and sanding ready for coating.
  • Use degreasers and approved cleaning agents to remove contaminants and ensure paint quality.
  • Apply coatings through spraying, patch painting, and rolling to required specifications.
  • Complete work to defined quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support vehicle and equipment refurbishment activities within a collaborative workshop team.

The role is based onsite at Bovington, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

Essential experience of the Vehicle Paint Technician:

  • Experience in spray painting heavy commercial vehicles or similar large assets.

Qualifications for the Vehicle Paint Technician:

  • Level 3 qualification in Paint Spraying within the Regulated Qualifications Framework or National Vocational Qualification, or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
