Support aviation operations through effective warehousing and stock control. At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Aviation business, based on site at RAF Halton, supporting the HADES programme. This is a practical, hands‑on role within Clothing Stores, supporting logistics and supply‑chain activity that enables aviation operations to run smoothly and efficiently.

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be responsible for the issue, receipt, storage, and control of stock in line with agreed processes and safety standards. Working as part of a close‑knit onsite team, you’ll support day‑to‑day warehouse activity and ensure accurate record‑keeping across all transactions.

  • Issue, receive, and store stock in line with supply‑chain and warehouse procedures
  • Carry out physical stocktaking and support stock reconciliations as required
  • Assist with kitting activities in support of RAF recruit requirements
  • Complete warehouse documentation and system transactions accurately
  • Maintain housekeeping, safety, and cleanliness standards across warehouse areas.

This is a full‑time, permanent role, working Monday to Thursday 08:00–17:00 and Friday 08:00–16:00.

Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:

  • A reliable team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Good attention to detail and a safety‑focused approach
  • Confidence using basic IT systems and warehouse applications
  • Willingness to follow procedures and support operational priorities.

Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
