We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our people-focused HR team and support the delivery of high-quality HR services across the organisation.
About the Role As an HR Advisor, you will partner with designated business areas to provide practical, timely and business-focused HR advice and support.
Working closely with HR Business Partners, you'll manage employee relations matters, support people initiatives, analyse workforce trends and help managers deliver positive outcomes for their teams.
This role is hybrid with a minimum of 2 days in the office at Herdus House, Westlakes Science Park, Cumbria.
Responsibilities Provide first-line HR advice on policies, procedures, employment law and best practice.
Support and lead on employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
Coach and advise managers to build capability and confidence in managing people matters.
Monitor and support absence management, occupational health referrals and wellbeing activities.
Analyse HR data and metrics, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Support annual pay review and bonus processes within designated business areas.
Deliver HR workshops, training sessions and HR surgeries across the business.
Support HR projects, policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage family leave and flexible working requests in line with policy and legislation.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted HR contact.
Qualifications You'll be an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background, excellent employee relations experience and the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice in a busy and evolving environment.
Required Skills CIPD Level 5 qualification, Associate CIPD membership or equivalent experience.
Strong HR generalist experience with a sound knowledge of employment law.
Proven experience managing employee relations and absence management cases.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
Experience using HR systems and managing people data.
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting HR metrics and trends.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills.
Experience delivering training, workshops or manager coaching.
Ability to work collaboratively and influence across all levels of the organisation.
A proactive, organised and solution-focused approach.
Pay Range and Compensation Package Competitive salary £49,926 with opportunity to progress to £51,761 Generous annual leave entitlement (25.5 days on entry) plus bank holidays and up to 13 accrued days Performance-related bonus scheme (up to £4,100 based on company PBI's.
