This is your opportunity to join a highly experienced decommissioning programme where you'll work at the heart of a complex, fast-moving and nationally important mission.

As a Project Manager within the AGR Transition & Transfer (T&T) Programme, you'll gain exposure across corporate, technical and delivery functions, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to help build the future of our sites.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be responsible for steering key workstreams across the decommissioning portfolio, ensuring safe, timely and effective delivery within a highly regulated environment.

You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams, promote best practice project management, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders throughout NRS, EDF and regulatory bodies.

You'll shape project direction from the outset, defining baselines, overseeing schedules, tracking interdependencies and ensuring the delivery approach meets business, commercial and regulatory expectations.

Through proactive leadership, you'll guide your team towards shared goals, uphold high standards and contribute to the overall success of the T&T Programme.

  • Leading project delivery to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule targets while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing stakeholders across NRS, EDF, ONR, EA and SEPA, representing the Workstream at internal and external boards when required.
  • Developing scope, schedules, risks, assumptions and opportunities for future AGR Sites work, ensuring robust and forward-thinking planning.
  • Managing reporting cycles, performance data, resource requirements and documentation to maintain programme visibility and integrity.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll bring a strong project management foundation, ideally gained within a highly regulated environment such as engineering, construction, procurement or nuclear.

We’re looking for someone who can combine technical rigour with leadership presence someone who thrives in complex organisations, communicates with clarity and builds constructive working relationships.

An adaptable, proactive mindset will be key as you navigate diverse challenges while supporting a major organisational transition.

You’ll also have the confidence to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, represent your project at senior forums, and contribute to continuous improvement by identifying solutions, opportunities and smarter ways of working.

A commitment to maintaining high performance standards, combined with a customer-focused approach, will help you excel in this role.

  • An HNC/D (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, plus APM Practitioner level (or willingness to achieve this within 12 months).
  • Experience in a regulated industry and an understanding of project management processes such as PD25.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to drive progress and maintain high-quality outputs.
  • A flexible, positive and collaborative approach, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
