What You Will Do

  • Play a vital part in delivering a comprehensive occupational health service, supporting individuals and teams through assessment, advice and proactive intervention.
  • Promote a safe, healthy, informed and compliant workplace through provision of occupational health support, training, and effective coordination.
  • Deliver and advise on health surveillance and fitness for work assessments in line with risk assessment and relevant best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Support managers and HR to manage cases including sickness absence and return to work planning.
  • Deliver key departmental processes, including immunisations, drug and alcohol testing, health education on occupational illness and disease and emergency on‑call provision.

What You Will Bring

  • A strong clinical foundation and a proactive, professional and questioning approach to occupational health.
  • Expertise to advise employees, enable informed decision‑making and support company compliance with health and safety and employment legislation.
  • Commitment to high professional standards and continuous improvement.
  • Registered general nurse with current NMC registration and at least two years’ post‑registration experience.
  • Occupational Health qualification (or willingness to work toward it in a trainee capacity).
  • Confident in applying clinical judgement, maintaining accurate records, and delivering health education.
  • Skilled in collaborating with stakeholders, managing sensitive information, and working independently in a multidisciplinary team.
