What Will You Be Doing
- As a Site Engineer / Construction Supervisor you’ll play a key role in ensuring contractor activities are planned and executed safely, compliantly and to programme.
- Working closely with the Site Construction Manager, you’ll provide visible leadership across site, balancing strong governance with practical coordination to enable safe, efficient delivery in a highly regulated environment.
- You’ll take ownership of reviewing and accepting risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work, while monitoring contractor performance against licence conditions and site standards.
- Through regular engagement with contractors and site teams, you’ll drive collaboration, support audits and inspections, ensure robust emergency arrangements are in place, and actively promote a positive commitment to safety, the environment and company values.
Providing proportionate oversight and monitoring of contractor construction and demolition activities.
Reviewing, challenging and approving RAMS and supporting documentation.
Coordinating with contractors and site teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery.
Supporting safety audits, inspections and regulatory engagement.
Who Are We Looking For
We’re looking for a confident, safety‑led construction professional who can plan, manage and coordinate contractor teams in a demanding and highly regulated setting. You’ll be an effective communicator, comfortable advising and influencing others, self‑motivated and delivery‑focused, with safety always at the forefront of your decision‑making. You must have proven experience managing or supervising construction activities, alongside a strong working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Essential qualifications include either CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme or a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, plus a relevant HNC or NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent). While not essential, an understanding of construction contract forms ideally NEC3 ECC and completion of an APM introductory course would be advantageous. Above all, you’ll bring credibility, professionalism and an excellent safety culture to everything you do.
