At NRS Dungeness, we’re looking for an HR Business Partner who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll be part of a wider, collaborative HRBP network across the UK, while owning and shaping the people agenda locally, driving a high-performance culture and supporting leaders to bring out the very best in their teams.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with leadership teams, equipping them with tools, insight, and confidence to manage and develop their people in line with business needs and the wider people plan.
  • Lead on workforce planning, talent development, performance, reward, and absence management to drive high performance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert HR guidance and hands-on coaching to managers and employees across a wide range of people matters, building capability and confidence in day‑to‑day and complex HR challenges.
  • Shape integrated workforce and talent strategies, address succession gaps, and ensure alignment with organisational change requirements.
  • Take a lead on resolving employee relations matters, working with managers, employees, and unions to achieve balanced and effective outcomes, while strengthening understanding of policies and best practice.
  • Engage with external networks and communities of practice to bring fresh insight and emerging trends into the organisation, ensuring HR approaches remain forward‑thinking and commercially relevant.

Who Are We Looking For

  • Strong academic foundation with a Higher Education qualification at Level 4/5 (or equivalent) such as HNC/HND, alongside CIPD Level 5 qualification (or actively working towards it).
  • Proven HR experience across a wide range of disciplines, with the ability to deliver impactful outcomes and provide credible support across complex people matters.
  • Solid understanding of current employment law to guide decision‑making and help the organisation mitigate risk.
  • Experience in driving process improvements that deliver tangible organisational and employee benefits, and exposure to change management within unionised environments.
  • Team leadership experience to influence and guide others, contributing to a collaborative, forward‑thinking HR function.
