Are you someone who takes pride in keeping complex plant and equipment running safely and smoothly? Do you enjoy hands‑on mechanical work while playing a vital role in a highly regulated environment?
What Will You Be Doing
You will play a key role in keeping people, plant and the environment safe by identifying hazards, applying safe working practices, and working in full alignment with site and company management systems. The role involves delivering high‑quality mechanical maintenance, supporting routine, corrective and breakdown activities to ensure operations run reliably and efficiently.
You will also take an active part in maintaining high workshop standards, managing stock control and mechanical spares so everything is available when needed. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to safety documentation, maintain tidy and compliant work areas, and support the effective application of company‑wide policies and procedures.
Who Are We Looking For
You’ll bring a strong educational foundation, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately. You’ll approach mechanical work in a proactive, hands‑on way, working methodically, using protective clothing and equipment correctly, and applying safe working practices with confidence in safety‑critical environments.
You’ll also have:
- A practical, safety‑focused mindset with the ability to carry out maintenance or installation tasks accurately and reliably.
- Ideally, some experience in maintenance activities and an awareness of industrial, radiological, or nuclear environments (desirable but not essential).
