This is an opportunity to play an important role at Chapelcross, helping ensure operations are delivered safely, compliantly and efficiently while contributing to the site's long-term mission.

What Will You Be Doing

You will support the planning, preparation and execution of decommissioning operations and routine plant activities across the Chapelcross site.

Working closely with operational and engineering teams, you will develop work packages, provide technical support and ensure activities are delivered in accordance with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, statutory requirements and company standards.

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of decommissioning operations, routine plant activities and operational work packages.
  • Preparing and implementing safety documentation, while ensuring compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, company standards and statutory requirements.
  • Providing technical support to operations, maintenance and project teams, including plant inspections, investigations and operational readiness activities.
  • Driving continuous improvement, maintaining operational records and supporting the Site Emergency Scheme when required.
  • Who Are We Looking For

You will be a motivated engineering/operational professional with a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence and collaborative working.

You will be capable of applying sound judgement and contributing positively to the successful delivery of Chapelcross's decommissioning programme.

You must hold an HNC or higher qualification in an Engineering discipline, or an equivalent NQF Level 5 qualification, together with experience within an operational, engineering or technical environment.

  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and their application within industrial or operational environments.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, alongside the ability to interpret technical documentation and procedures.
  • Experience planning, coordinating or supporting engineering, operational or project activities, with effective stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience within the nuclear industry or another highly regulated environment, including knowledge of decommissioning, plant modifications or Nuclear Site Licence requirements.
