VIQU are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Helpdesk Operator to provide first-line IT support across the business. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced Service Desk professional to broaden their technical knowledge while supporting users across multiple UK locations. The successful candidate will work across a varied Microsoft environment, including Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Windows 11, alongside hardware, mobile devices, printers and business systems. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong customer-focused approach who enjoys troubleshooting and wants to continue developing their IT career within a busy support environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Helpdesk Operator:

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing effective first-line technical assistance
  • Log, prioritise, investigate and resolve service desk tickets within agreed processes
  • Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, desktop hardware, printers, mobile devices and business systems
  • Support and administer user devices through Microsoft Intune
  • Assist with user accounts, access and devices across Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory
  • Provide remote and face-to-face technical support to users across Warwick and wider UK locations
  • Set up, configure and maintain IT equipment, applications and user devices
  • Support SharePoint and other Microsoft business applications
  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials and IT documentation
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams and external suppliers to investigate and resolve technical issues

Key Experience Required of the Helpdesk Operator:

  • Proven experience working within a Service Desk, Helpdesk or first-line IT support environment
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows 11 and desktop applications
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID
  • Strong troubleshooting experience, particularly across hardware, software and printer-related issues
  • Experience with SharePoint would be highly desirable
  • Good understanding of Active Directory and user account administration
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support users at different technical levels
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple support tickets and tasks effectively
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a genuine desire to develop technical skills
