Do you have a great eye for detail and fault finding?

If you answered yes then Holcim are looking for someone just like you to join them as a Wash plant operative trialling a new project.

The successful candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing background, is flexible and happy to work independently.

Role - Wash plant operative

Pay - £13.45 basic per hour plus shift allowance for night shift £17.89 per hour for night shift

Location- Holcim, Bardon Hill, Coalville LE67 1TD

Shift pattern- For the first 1-2 months you will be training on the afternoon shift working 2pm till 10pm Monday to Friday.

Once your training is completed you will month on to the night shift which will be working 9pm till 7am Monday to Thursday.

  • Duration- 6-12 months initially with the view to extend or offer a permanent position
  • Start date - ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)

Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the wash plant
  • Basic fault finding
  • Monitor product quality
  • Check all production belts are working correctly
  • Basic housekeeping, cleaning and maintaining machinery and working area
  • Communicating with internal and external contacts in a clear and efficient manner

Experience needed

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Previous experience as a machine operator
  • Capacity to operate with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of isolation procedures
  • Previous experience in a mineral washing plant (desirable)
  • Strong IT literacy skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Open minded towards change, new processes and improvement initiatives
