Finance Business Partner, Housing Revenue Account (HRA)
An opportunity to join the Council's Financial Planning Team in a key role as Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Finance Business Partner.
You will support the Council's Housing Service to manage the HRA with the annual budget setting and monitoring processes, along with providing ad-hoc financial advice, undertaking project work and year‑end closure activities.
You will also help by contributing to the overall HRA financial strategy, playing an integral role in contributing to continuous improvement and increased efficiency in the delivery of the Housing Service.
Responsibilities
- Support budget setting and monitoring for HRA.
- Provide ad-hoc financial advice.
- Undertake project work and year‑end closure activities.
- Contribute to the HRA financial strategy and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a financial planning environment, ideally with knowledge of Housing Revenue Accounts.
- Demonstrable experience of effective budget preparation and monitoring.
- Understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements, general accounting principles and effective report writing.
