Nuada is looking for an experienced process technician to join our expanding team! We have two small carbon capture plants currently operating in Italy and the UK. We require experienced process technicians to help optimise plant performance under the supervision of our shift leads. The role will be based at the pilot plant sites, with frequent access to our HQ in Mallusk. Typically, there will be just 3 team members involved in the pilot plant during daytime hours. This will be a challenging yet rewarding role that will require a passion to drive things through to completion and work as part of a team developing the next generation of carbon capture technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect process data and work this into the provided spreadsheets.
- Manage sampling locally.
- Monitor the plant daily with walkarounds and visual inspections.
- Develop an understanding of the plant behaviour, to anticipate troubles and ameliorate them.
- Be able to manage isolations as needed by permitting requirements.
- Overhaul the plant as required, for jobs such as filter changes, valve changes, draining, cleaning, flushing, and materials loading.
- Willing to work shifts.
- Flexible to travel as required.
- Prior experience in chemical plants.
- Good mechanical competence with small hand-tools.
- Be occasionally flexible over work hours as plants do not always respect core work hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional skills such as electrics, electronics, PLC programming, mechanical engineering, plumbing, laboratory skills would be advantageous.
