Join Our Team as a Facilities Supervisor at Ferndene hospital. Are you passionate about creating a supportive, engaging and safe environment for our staff and the individuals we provide services to? Please note that the salary advertised reflects the full‑time equivalent pay. As this is a part‑time post (30 hours) salary will be paid pro rata.
Main duties of the job:
- Oversee facilities support services across Domestic Services, Catering and Portering.
- Ensure highest standards of environments and hygiene across all services.
- Supervise, mentor and manage staff within the three service areas.
- Coordinate work schedules, resource allocation and maintenance activities.
- Monitor and report on quality indicators and compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Support the Facilities Site Manager in strategic planning and continuous improvement.

Person specification:
Experience:
- Experience of different types of food and cleaning services.
- Experience working in catering or cleaning.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience with cashier duties and operating a till.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident decision‑making and good organisation.
- Sound knowledge of food preparation and food service.
- In‑depth knowledge of hygiene and health and safety legislation, including COSHH.
- Customer care awareness.
- Able to meet the mobility requirements of the role.
Education and Qualifications:
- Recognised catering or cleaning qualification such as NVQ Level 1, 2 or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent.
- Health and Safety qualification.
All jobs will be appointed on the NTW Solutions Limited terms and conditions and not NHS Agenda for Change terms and conditions. New starters who are not in the NHS Pension already will be enrolled into a NEST pension. Recruitment into NTW Solutions Limited will follow the principles of NHS Employer Check Standards and any relevant employment legislation. Various posts are subject to DBS clearance prior to commencement. To comply with Home Office Immigration Regulations all applicants must state their current immigration status, including expiry dates. Please note if you are external to the NTW Group you will be subject to a six month probationary period.
