Job overview: Join us as a Catering Assistant! We are recruiting to the Team at Northgate Hospital to work within our friendly Catering Department. This post is offered at 30 hours per week, working 4 days out of 7, including some weekend shifts, from 10am to 6pm in the Regen Kitchens, on a 4 week rolling rota.

Main duties of the job: To assist in basic food preparation and undertake cleaning duties within a designated kitchen/dining room area. Where required, to operate an on-site cash register and ensure the safe and accurate handling of monies.

Person specification:

  • Knowledge and Skills: Able to work without direct supervision, able to relate to others easily, ability to work effectively within a team, must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post.
  • Experience: Experience of stock control.
  • Qualifications: Willingness to work towards Food Hygiene.
