We are recruiting multiple Domestic Assistants to join our team at St Nicholas Hospital, Gosforth. There are multiple contracts available with flexibility in hours, and we are happy to discuss preferred hours with candidates in the interview.
Main duties of the job:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Being adaptable and approachable while actively promoting continuous improvement of standards.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Following instructions and a routine work schedule, often without supervision.
- Using equipment and cleaning products safely, adhering to all control of substances harmful to health (COSHH) rules and regulations.
- Understanding and adhering to infection prevention and control rules.
- Completing any paperwork such as quality checks and other required documentation.
- Being respectful of others and supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrating company values of being caring, compassionate, respectful, honest, and transparent.

Pay: Band A (£12.51 per hour). We pay 25% enhancement on hours worked during a Saturday and Sunday.
Person Specification:
- Education and Qualifications: Basic levels of literacy and numeracy are essential.
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience is welcome, but we will train you fully if you don’t have any experience.
- Skills and Knowledge: Ability to lift and move equipment, adhere to standards and procedures, communicate well with others, work as part of a team or unsupervised, and meet mobility requirements.
