Serve as liaison with our current payroll vendor while supporting the Payroll Manager in system transition matters, such as data migration and testing to ensure a seamless move to in-house operations. Utilize experience to refine payroll workflows, establishing the documentation and internal controls needed for an automated and compliant environment. Manage the full monthly payroll cycle, including e-claims/leave reconciliations, statutory tax filings (IR8A/IR21), and final disbursements. Act as a secondary subject matter expert for payroll and HRIS queries, providing critical backup to ensure uninterrupted department operations. Support the Compensation & Benefits function by preparing data for manpower CAPEX budgeting, coordinating corporate insurance renewals, and assisting in the execution of annual salary and bonus review exercises. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality when managing sensitive information, demonstrating the maturity required for compensation data.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll management, with increasing exposure to broader Compensation & Benefits projects.
  • Diploma/Degree in HR or related field.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act, CPF Board regulations, and IRAS tax requirements.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Unit 4 or similar large-scale HRIS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a 'team-first' mentality are essential.
  • Deep understanding of HRIS/Payroll integration architecture and how data flows between leave, claims, and payroll modules.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing monthly cycles, including statutory deductions, tax filings (IR8A/IR21), and bank file generation.
  • Proficiency in handling Government-paid leave claims (Maternity, Paternity, Childcare) and NS (National Service) make-up pay claims.
  • Strong ability to manage strict timelines, coordinate with third-party vendor, and document complex administrative processes.
  • Working knowledge of compensation frameworks, including salary benchmarking, benefits administration, and manpower cost forecasting.
  • A proven track record of 'blending' into diverse teams, with the communication skills to partner effectively with stakeholders outside of HR (e.g., Finance or Department Heads).
  • The ability to handle complex employee relations and sensitive compensation numbers with a calm, objective, and confidential approach.
