NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for a new EU funded project called: Support to baseline study on continental road harmonisation in Africa and is searching for experts to carry put this project. The global objective of this assignment is to facilitate the design of a continental program on harmonisation of policies, laws, regulations, standards, systems and institutional frameworks for road transport and transit facilitation in the ECCAS, ECOWAS and UMA countries and corridors. Duration: The indicative start date is 23.12.2024 and the period of implementation of the specific contract will be 6 months from this date. Indicative end date: 23.06.2025 . Location: The experts are expected to provide their services at the mission location (for field work in the countries that concern the study) and home-based. 23 AU member state meetings are foreseen for the assignment within the respective RECs. Proposed REC regional sites for hosting the meetings are Accra, Ghana for ECOWAS, Yaounde, Cameroon for ECCAS and Casablanca, Morocco for UMA. Key Expert – Trade and Transport Facilitation Specialist ️ Qualifications and skills: Diploma in transport, trade, economics, legal or any other related field Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English, minimum C1. Knowledge and fluency in French would be an advantage. Good communication skills and team work are required. ️ General professional experience: A minimum of 8 years in trade and transport facilitation. Experience in project management. ️ Specific professional experience: Experience in developing countries, particularly in Africa and the tripartite region.
