About the Opportunity:
We are creating a pool of Junior and Senior Non Key Expert for EU-Circular Economy and Water Facility project. Experts in this pool will be contacted during the implementation of the project when the need arises. If you have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Legal Expert with deep experience in EU sustainability, environmental, and circular economy legislation, including analysis of impacts on third countries, trade, and investment frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse EU circular economy–related legislation and assess its implications for partner countries.
- Provide legal input for policy reforms, project design, investment proposals, and compliance support.
- Support EU Delegations and partner governments with legal interpretations and regulatory gap analysis.
- Draft briefs, guidance notes, and legal assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: At least a Bachelor's degree in Law, European Studies, Environmental Law, International Trade Law, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an asset.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in EU environmental, sustainability, or circular economy legislation. Minimum 3 years working on legal or regulatory impacts in international cooperation, trade, or development contexts. Experience in drafting legal analyses, regulatory gap assessments, or compliance recommendations.
Skills: Strong understanding of EU Green Deal, sustainability, and product legislation. Ability to analyse legal implications for non‐EU partner countries. Excellent written and analytical skills.
Languages: Excellent command of English (required). Knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset.
