The team you'll be working with: As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking an exceptional Salesforce Solution Architect with exposure to Marketing Cloud to join our Salesforce Architecture and Innovation team, focusing on prestigious clients in the Manufacturing/Retail Industry. The Salesforce Solution Architect acts as a strategic advisor and expert on Salesforce marketing products and platforms, engaging directly with senior stakeholders while collaborating closely with enterprise architects, marketing leaders, and business users. In this role, you'll provide authoritative guidance and best practices across critical areas including marketing automation architecture, customer data platforms, omnichannel personalization, performance optimization, and governance frameworks.
This is a project leadership position where you'll shape transformative Salesforce solutions for retail clients, ensuring that technical decisions align with both organizational strategy and customer engagement objectives. You'll be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives that modernize customer experiences, enhance marketing effectiveness, build customer loyalty, and deliver measurable ROI across retail channels.
What you'll be doing: As our Salesforce Solution Architect, you'll:
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as the go-to Salesforce expert for key stakeholders, providing guidance on platform capabilities, architecture patterns, and best practices
- Solution Design: Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, well-architected solutions leveraging Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Loyalty Management, Data 360, Sales Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud and similar emerging technologies
- Architecture Leadership: Lead architecture alignment across multiple workstreams, coordinate with enterprise architects, and oversee technical direction for major implementations
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate solution risks, technical debt, and design assumptions while assessing business impact
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with executive teams, project managers, and technical leads to drive successful outcomes
- Pre-Sales Support: Develop compelling proposals including target architectures, security strategies, integration approaches, and implementation roadmaps
- Team Development: Mentor diverse teams on technical excellence, communication strategies, and executive influence
- Knowledge Leadership: Contribute to internal growth through thought leadership, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and strategic asset development
What experience you'll bring:
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders; strategic alignment of technical decisions with long-term business vision; strong presentation, communication, and facilitation capabilities; experience leading design sessions and articulating trade-offs between options
- Salesforce Solution Architecture: 15+ years of experience in consulting and architecture roles, with demonstrated leadership in driving digital transformations within the Retail / Manufacturing Sector; deep understanding of Salesforce platform with a focus on customer loyalty and engagement including at least three of the following (and willingness to learn in other areas): Manufacturing Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Loyalty Management, Data 360 (fka Data Cloud), Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud; provide clear recommendations on solution approaches, architectural patterns, and design trade-offs; review and quality-assure design artefacts for completeness and compliance; relevant Salesforce certifications related to the above technologies; Salesforce architecture certifications such as Salesforce Application Architect are highly desirable.
- Integration Patterns & APIs: Knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns including APIs, Platform Events, and best practices for secure, scalable integrations; exposure to MuleSoft Integration Architecture is highly desirable; exposure to Azure Platform Architecture is highly desirable.
- Governance & Security: Familiarity with design governance frameworks, including reviewing High-Level Designs, Design Decision Logs, and Technical Debt registers; understanding of Salesforce security model (roles, profiles, sharing rules) and compliance considerations (GDPR, data residency); ability to design secure solutions for enterprise environments; familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Development & Methodology: End-to-end Salesforce platform implementation experience (hands-on development experience a plus); extensive experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies; ability to design secure, scalable solutions for enterprise environments.
