With 5+ years of experience in user research, UX, or service design, you’ll bring deep expertise in understanding user needs and translating complex business and organisational challenges into clear, evidence-based insights that guide design and delivery.

You’ll lead research activities from planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative studies to synthesising insights and communicating findings that drive strategic design decisions. • Contribute to UX and Service Design streams to co-create personas, journey maps, blueprints, and behavioural frameworks that translate insights into tangible design opportunities.
  • Synthesise complex findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate strategic recommendations that shape both user experience and service delivery.
  • Facilitate workshops, research playbacks, and alignment sessions to build shared understanding and influence cross-functional decision-making.
  • Test early concepts, prototypes, and service interactions to validate assumptions, reduce risk, and iterate based on evidence.
  • Champion inclusive design and accessibility, embedding these principles into both research planning and experience design.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and proven experience with GDS (Government Digital Service) standards.
  • Eligible for SC clearance (British citizen or equivalent, with 5 years of continuous UK residency).
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Degree in User Research, Psychology, HCI, Service Design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in complex, regulated sectors such as banking or insurance.
  • Interest in systems thinking or organisational design, applying service design to drive broader transformation.
