The Learning and Development (L&D) Partner plays a strategic role in supporting the identification, design, and implementation of learning initiatives that enhance employee skills, performance, and engagement. This role partners closely with business leaders, P&C business partners, and subject matter experts to ensure learning strategies and interventions align with organisational objectives and global Centre of Expertise (CoE) priorities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Learning Needs Analysis
- Partner with P&C partners and business leaders to assess capability gaps and define learning priorities aligned with organisational strategy.
- Translate business needs into effective learning solutions and programs.
- Support the creation of an L&D roadmap that aligns with company culture, future workforce needs and delivery of the CoE priorities.
- Program Identification, Design and Delivery
- Work with SMEs to identify and agree learning needs and appropriate delivery channels with a focus on the 70:20:10 approach.
- Design and deliver engaging learning programs, facilitate workshops, curate e-learning content and encourage the development of social learning and collaboration networks.
- Identify and recommend external partners and/or interventions to meet learning needs where required; support arrangements as needed.
- Leverage technology platforms (LMS, LXP, AI and digital learning tools, etc.) to build scalable learning pathways to maximise reach and impact.
- Capability Building
- Drive leadership, management and professional development initiatives across all levels.
- Support onboarding programs for new hires and continuous learning for existing employees.
- Facilitate sessions and coaching as needed to enhance leadership effectiveness and team performance.
- Support and promote the early careers development strategy including arrangement for apprenticeships and inputting to the design of a new graduate programme.
- Measurement and Evaluation
- Implement evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of learning interventions.
- Use data, feedback and AI (where appropriate) to continuously improve training outcomes and learning experiences.
- Provide appropriate reporting and management information.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to business units on talent and learning issues.
- Build strong relationships with P&C and business stakeholders to influence decisions and ensure adoption of L&D initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships where external training partners are engaged, including apprenticeship providers.
- Support leaders with the appropriate and timely use of learning budgets in support of business strategy.
What experience you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in an L&D or Talent Development role, ideally within a consultancy or fast-paced, complex environment.
- Strong instructional design skills and a passion for delivering high-impact learning experiences.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to measure learning effectiveness and translate insights into action.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), AI for learning and other digital learning tools.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent is a plus.
- Coaching Accreditation (ideally Gallup) is a plus.
