Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage access control, CCTV, PSIM, and key management system applications.
  • Maintain physical security compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, legal requirements, and risk requirements.
  • Manage physical security audits.
  • Manage physical security incidents and investigations.
  • Troubleshoot physical security applications and technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for access control, CCTV, PSIM, and key management technologies for sustaining and new installations.
  • Own and manage security equipment at our facilities through testing, monitoring, and preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize customer impact.
  • Maintain comprehensive pre- and post-installation documentation for security equipment.
  • Review and update security systems layouts as modifications occur.
  • Consult on system enhancements and upgrades by benchmarking performance and applying best known methods.
  • Participate in security task forces, suggest improvements, and manage equipment inventory to minimize business disruption.
  • Coordinate with security vendors, suppliers, departments, and internal customers to ensure safe and timely installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Manage physical security performance testing and inspection activities.
  • Compile data and report findings to management.
  • Ensure security standards are applied appropriately during planned and ongoing security installations.
  • Review construction drawings and blueprints and provide pre-construction guidance to ensure compliance with security specifications and customer requirements.
  • Plan and execute project tasks related to the activities above.
  • Work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends, with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Several years of experience in data centre environments with physical security systems and technology deployments.
  • Several years of experience with enterprise-scale physical security systems, including access control, CCTV/video, PSIM, and key management systems, as well as network and application security.
  • Several years of experience on a Security Operations team, including coordinating responses to security incidents and managing security systems applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of physical security technology, risk assessment methodologies, investigations, regulations, applications, and network administration.
  • Solid project management skills and experience managing mid-scale in-life technical security projects.
  • Several years of experience configuring Video Management Systems (VMS) applications.
  • Several years of experience configuring Key Management Systems applications such as Traka and Deister.
  • Experience managing suppliers and contracts, especially technicians performing site services.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Unix operating systems, SQL databases, Microsoft Office products, and electrical engineering.
  • Ability to design and deliver comprehensive physical security solutions.
  • Strong customer service and presentation skills for both management and technical audiences.
