Your role at a glance: The Construction Scheduler is accountable for governing best practice construction scheduling standards and management across multiple projects EMEA. Direct reports include various Scheduler roles (consultant and contractor), who are responsible for delivering scheduling services to the project delivery organisation against the agreed EMEA scheduling standard. Where required, the Construction Scheduler will support in delivering ongoing training to the NTT project delivery teams in scheduling best practice. This is a hybrid role based in the UK, with approximately 25% - 50% travel across UK/Europe, dependent on project and business needs.
What will you do:
- In collaboration with the NTT project management, pre-construction scheduling and procurement, define the scoring criteria for contractor(s) technical schedule returns.
- In collaboration with NTT pre-construction scheduling, review contractor(s) tender schedules and provide the project management team a recommendation based on quality and competence.
- Following appointment, provide onboarding and mentoring of new and existing GC and Sub-Con partners of varying degrees of maturity to further develop our supply chain scheduling competency.
- Analyse submitted construction baselines from contractor(s) against EMEA quality, mechanics and content criteria. Where inconsistencies with the required standards are identified, work with the contractor(s) to rectify and provide acceptance of the baseline.
- Ensure the contractor(s) adhere to the reporting cadence and undertake reviews of schedule submissions with the project scheduler to assess GC performance against contracted baselines.
- In collaboration with NTT stakeholders, ensure the construction schedule is coordinated with all the project deliverables, including but not limited to commissioning, client fit-out and power upgrade works.
- Providing the Head of Scheduling summaries of key risks & opportunities on all projects within the Central & East region that can then be disseminated to senior leadership.
- Provide support as needed to the project schedulers in conducting time impact assessments of project changes. Where necessary, identify and execute delay mitigation and acceleration opportunities.
- Managing and reporting on periodic SQRAs on our Major projects, collaborating closely with the NTT Construction Cost Management Team.
- Summarise lessons learned throughout the construction phase and provide benchmark data at project completion from the as-built construction schedule.
What are we looking for:
- Hyperscale Data Centre project and program management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in applying Critical Path Methodology techniques on hyperscale Data Centre construction projects.
- Experience in assessing Data Centre commissioning planning templates and trackers.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Construction Industry standard planning software, such as: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and ASTA Powerproject.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Earned Value Management Techniques and Systems.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Power BI and expert use of the MS Office suite.
- Experience in QRA processes and software such as Primavera Risk Analyzer or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with and lead a multi-cultural team across EMEA.
- Strong problem solving skills and mindset with the ability to lead and influence multi-functional teams.
- Possess deep analytical skills and the ability to translate and communicate complex data in a legible and presentable format.
