We are seeking an accomplished and highly skilled architect to design and implement Microsoft Fabric on cloud data platforms that are scalable, secure, and business‑aligned. The role involves guiding enterprise clients through their data platform modernization journey, enabling data democratization, advanced analytics, and AI‑driven insights.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Delivery – act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Solution Design & Implementation – define Microsoft Fabric strategies and design robust architectures.
  • Migration & Modernisation – lead data platform migration initiatives.
  • Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing – share best practices and insights.
  • Collaboration & Leadership – work across business, technology, and partner teams.
  • Business Relationships – build and maintain relationships with client leaders, including Heads of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Chief Data Architects.

Key Competencies

  • Proven expertise designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric architectures for enterprise clients.
  • Strong consulting values and ability to interface effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, and BI/analytics tools.
  • Deep understanding of the data lifecycle (ingestion, storage, processing, governance, consumption).
  • Ability to link business objectives with technology strategy and execution.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience leading data modernisation initiatives across multiple sectors (banking, insurance, telecom, public sector, manufacturing, retail).

Technical Expertise

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Fabric core features.
  • Proficiency in Azure (AWS and GCP are an advantage) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Strong background in databases, data warehouses, and distributed processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools (Tableau, Power BI, Talend).
  • Experience with data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Expertise in large‑scale ETL/ELT pipeline implementation using custom and packaged tools.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years in data architecture, engineering, or consulting roles, with 1–2 years in Microsoft Fabric solution architecture.
  • University degree required (BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field strongly preferred).
  • Microsoft Fabric certification(s) strongly desirable.
