The Associate Deal Desk Analyst is an entry-level subject matter expert responsible for learning the skills to support the sales and technical delivery teams, acting as the primary point of contact among various business areas and guiding non-standard and less complex deals through the process.
Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain a master view of deal pipeline information.
- Collect, compile, and validate pipeline information from internal stakeholders.
- Provide periodic updates to internal teams for visibility on upcoming service activation requests.
- Analyze pipeline information at regular intervals.
- Document and provide analysis to managers to support resource planning for technology.
- Identify demand for new technologies from analysis and assist with preliminary resource sizing.
- Review effort sizing with internal teams before submitting to the Commercial team for deal viability analysis.
- Support Deal Desk activities related to quota setting, bookings attainment, and deal structuring.
- Collaborate with Sales on deal structure and quoting; advise on alternative contract options and value propositioning to drive deal closure.
- Provide general assistance and guidance on common deal questions and Quote to Cash process questions.
- Work with impacted parties to identify acceptable options to facilitate deal closure.
- Take direction from Sales Operations and Sales Systems teams to support process and system improvements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Go-to-Market teams and other cross-functional departments.
- Some understanding of revenue recognition rules.
- Strong organizational skills with customer focus and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills; professional, self-aware, transparent, and open to feedback.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in high-volume periods.
- Some quantitative skills and proficiency with sales tools and software.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field.
- Entry-level Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations or Pricing experience preferred.
- Entry-level experience in Direct and Channel Sales model is highly desirable.
