The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

As our Security Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of various security systems and applications, including access control, CCTV, PSIM, and key management. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, legal, customer, and risk requirements, manages physical security audits, and investigations, system operation and maintenance, and troubleshoots security applications and technologies. You will act as subject matter expert, coordinate suppliers, provide for internal and customer reporting, manage incident trouble tickets, and contribute to green field and brown field projects.

What we are looking for:

  • Preferably Tyco SWH CCURE 9000 LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 certified
  • Preferably Tyco SWH CCURE 9000 LEVEL 4 - ENTERPRISE SOLUTION certified
  • Preferably Advancis WinGuard Professional certified
  • Preferably Milestone Technical Configuration Level 1 certified
  • Several years of experience in Data Center environments typical physical security systems and technologies deployments and usage
  • Several years of experience with a focus in areas such as enterprise-scale physical security systems (access control systems, CCTV/video systems, PSIM systems, key management systems, and similar), network, and application security
  • Several years of experience on a Security Operations team, especially experience in coordinating responses to security incidents and managing security systems applications
  • Extensive knowledge of physical security technology, risk assessment methodologies, investigations, regulations, applications, and network administration
  • Solid project management skills to manage mid-scale (in-life) projects (experience in managing technical security projects and working with various security systems design packages, etc)
  • Several years of experience in configuring Video Management Systems (VMS) applications
  • Several years of experience in configuring Key Management Systems (Traka, Deister) applications
  • Experience in managing suppliers and contracts (with specific focus at technicians performing site services)
  • Skills to apply systems knowledge to facilitate resolution of operational issues
  • Expertise to read blueprints/schematics
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Unix operating systems, SQL databases, other Microsoft Office products and electrical engineering
  • Ability to design and deliver comprehensive physical security solutions
  • Demonstrating high-level customer service skills
  • Presentation skills (delivered to both management and technical audiences)

What you will do:

  • Administration and management of access control system applications
  • Administration and management of closed-circuit-television (CCTV) applications
  • Administration and management of physical security information management (PSIM) applications
  • Administration and management of the key management system applications
  • Maintain physical security compliance with internal policies, customer, legal and risk requirements
  • Manages physical security related audits
  • Manages physical security incidents and investigations
  • Manages troubleshooting of physical security applications and technologies
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for security technologies (access control, CCTV, PSIM, key management) for sustaining and new installations
  • Owns and manages all aspects of the security equipment at the facilities to ensure appropriate and efficient functionality by regular testing and monitoring and rolling preventative maintenance of systems to maximize uptimes and minimize customer impacts
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation for pre- and post- installation of security equipment
  • Reviews and updates security systems layout as modifications occur
  • Consults on enhancements and upgrades of systems supporting business needs by benchmarking systems performance and applying Best Known Methods (BKM) approach
  • Participates in NTT Security task forces, suggests system changes and improvements, and manages inventory of all equipment to minimize disruption to business
  • Facilitates working arrangements with security vendors to ensure safe and timely installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, and repairs of equipment by coordinating work between suppliers, other departments, and internal customers (documentation, scheduling, change coordination, safety plans)
  • Manages physical security performance testing and inspection activities
  • Compiles data and reports findings to management
  • Ensures security standards are being applied appropriately, including the review of planned and ongoing security installations
  • Reviews construction drawings and blueprints and provides pre-construction guidance to ensure compliance with security systems specifications or NTT customer requirements
  • Plans and executes project tasks for activities described above
