The Senior Manager, Global HR Compliance is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading comprehensive HR compliance programs worldwide. This role ensures alignment with employment and immigration laws, policy governance standards, and mandatory training requirements across all regions. Acting as the organization’s subject matter expert on HR regulatory obligations, the Senior Manager partners closely with Legal, GRC, HR leaders, and business stakeholders to embed compliance into end‑to‑end HR processes and systems. The role is accountable for proactive risk identification, audit readiness, and maintaining effective HR compliance practices globally.

What will you do

  • Global HR Compliance Governance
    • Design the global HR compliance framework, ensuring adherence to employment, immigration, and workforce-related regulations across all operating regions.
    • Own governance of HR policies, posters, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements and consistency of application.
    • Conduct and oversee compliance audits of HR practices, including I‑9 employment authorization, client and internal background check & drug screen, employee classification and documentation.
    • Monitor employment law developments and recommend proactive policy and process updates.
  • Regulatory Change Management
    • Proactively monitor global regulatory developments impacting HR, including employment law, immigration, data privacy, and workforce compliance.
    • Assess regulatory impact and lead cross‑functional implementation efforts covering policy updates, process changes, training, communications, and system enhancements.
    • Drive consistent adoption of regulatory changes across regions and HR teams.
  • Immigration & Work Authorization Compliance
    • Oversee global immigration and work authorization compliance, including policy adherence, documentation standards, and regulatory reporting.
    • Partner with Legal, HRBPs, HR Services, Payroll, Total Rewards, Talent, and external vendors to implement regulatory changes and manage compliance risk.
  • Background Check & Drug Screening Governance
    • Govern global background check and drug screening programs to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
    • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high‑risk adjudication cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant decision‑making.
    • Monitor trends, risks, and control gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Compliance Training & Awareness
    • Own HR compliance training requirements, including refresh cycles and regulatory‑driven updates.
    • Partner with Learning and Legal to maintain effective compliance training programs.
  • HRIS & HR Services Partnership
    • Partner with HRIS to translate compliance requirements into system controls, workflows, data fields, and reporting capabilities.
    • Validate system configuration to ensure compliance requirements are accurately implemented.
    • Leverage HR data and dashboards to assess compliance risk and support audit readiness.
    • Identify HR compliance risks, gaps, and control weaknesses and drive remediation plans.
    • Prepare executive‑level compliance reporting, risk summaries, and audit materials.
    • Support internal and external audits with documentation, process walkthroughs, and corrective action planning.
  • Global Regulatory & Compliance Reporting
    • Own and oversee global HR regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant submissions across all applicable jurisdictions.
    • Lead end to end governance of workforce related regulatory reporting, including U.S. EEO 1, California Pay Data Reporting, and other country specific employment reporting requirements.
    • Partner with Legal, HRIS, Payroll, Total Rewards, and external advisors to interpret reporting obligations and translate requirements into compliant data definitions, controls, and processes.
    • Monitor changes in global regulatory reporting requirements and proactively assess impact to data, systems, processes, and timelines.
    • Develop standardized reporting calendars, controls, and processes to manage risk and ensure on time submissions.
    • Serve as the HR subject matter expert for regulatory reporting inquiries, audits, and regulatory requests related to workforce compliance data.

  • Proven experience leading cross‑functional compliance initiatives and implementations.
  • Experience partnering with HRIS teams to implement compliance‑driven system requirements.
  • Familiarity with internal and external audit processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead through change.
  • Experience with India regulatory and compliance programs preferred.
  • Must have flexible work schedule to accommodate across global business hours.
