Your role at a glance: As the Regional Passive Networks Governance Specialist, you will act as a delivery engine for GDC Networks within your region. This role is responsible for implementing standardized processes, procedures, vendor supply, and tooling for local teams globally to ensure consistency and efficiency across all regions, with a strong focus on reducing outsource spend and lead times by bringing client work in-house through team development and training. This is a hybrid role based in EMEA, with flexibility to be located in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, or Spain. You will spend approximately 10-20% of your time every month travelling to sites across the EMEA region.
What you will do:
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiency through insourcing
- Define and harmonize policies and procedures for passive products, campus connect, pre-cabling, and cross-connects globally
- Assist local teams to reduce lead times (OLA/SLA) and improve service delivery
- Actively manage suppliers of passive hardware within your region
- Oversee capacity management database implementation and final accountability
- Serve as the point of contact for regional teams regarding GDC's passive infrastructure
- Be a local point of contact with procurement during the onboarding process of new suppliers
- Evaluating the tools required by our regional teams to complete passive network installations
What are we looking for?
- Completed technical studies or training as IT specialist with focus on network connectivity and system integration or comparable qualification
- Experience in the data center or telecommunications environment
- Knowledge in the field of passive infrastructure
- Process and Procedure creation
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using ARIS
- Experience in FNT or similar asset management tools
- Fluent written and verbal in English. German would be an advantage
- Willingness to travel between EMEA sites
- Familiarity with supply chain management, as well as supplier evaluation and selection would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
