Senior Manager, Construction Scheduling
Lead the regional construction scheduling function for NTT Global Data Centers, ensuring the development, implementation, and performance of a comprehensive scheduling program across the entire portfolio of data‑center projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of internal and contracted schedulers, setting clear performance goals and aligning individual objectives with regional and global priorities.
- Implement and enforce a unified scheduling program for all data‑center projects, including establishing internal processes, contractual scheduling requirements for General Contractors, milestone definitions, duration benchmarks, and consistent KPIs.
- Develop and maintain program‑level and project‑level CPM schedules, provide governance and oversight of contractual scheduling requirements, and coach project teams on compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce high‑level program and project timelines to support decision‑making, scenario analysis and executive‑level planning.
- Define and track meaningful scheduling KPIs that reflect project progress and enable clear visibility into baseline performance.
- Create management‑level reports that showcase schedule performance across the portfolio.
- Partner with the Construction Team to identify and model schedule optimization opportunities, alternative sequencing, phasing and delivery strategies for speed‑to‑market initiatives.
- Enforce the schedule change‑management process, ensuring impact analysis, documentation, approval, mitigation and communication of schedule risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in construction scheduling, including baseline schedule development, critical‑path and variance analysis, earned value management (EVM) and forensic schedule analysis.
- Demonstrated people‑management experience with the ability to lead, develop and manage performance for internal staff and subcontracted resources.
- Experience with data‑center or high‑tech construction projects.
- Expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling for complex construction projects, including logic‑driven schedule development, critical‑path and float analysis, risk assessment and compliance with contractual specifications.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MSP) scheduling software.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to evaluate contractor schedules.
- Excellent analytical, creative thinking, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience reviewing Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and recovery schedules to assess impacts and mitigation strategies.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
