Your role at a glance: As the Critical Facilities Maintenance (CFM) Lead Engineer, you will be reporting directly to the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager, responsible for the shift patterns delivery of Facility Management (FM) services to NTT Global Data Centers, ensuring operational performance and efficiency is always maintained to the highest possible standards.

Provide engineering support and guidance in general on property matters affecting the on-going management and development of NTT Global Data Centers. You will be responsible for the management of the shift engineers, including but not limited to ensuring training matrix are up to date, ensuring that all planned absences are covered, and scenario drills are completed. You will provide technical support and leadership across the shift including first line response to any incidents that arise. Working with other shift leads, all handovers will be completed and documented using the agreed process.

You will provide engineering services and guidance on facility matters affecting the day-to-day management and development of the critical and non-critical infrastructure. Plan, manage and implement the delivery of FM services to the data centers ensuring optimal operational performance, and that compliance is always maintained to the highest possible standard.

What will you do?

  • Maintain and supervise the site shift engineering team.
  • Work closely with the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager and maintain responsibility for ensuring services are delivered in accordance with best practice processes and procedures.
  • Manage the Salesforce/MCIM system and ticketing queues.
  • Ensure there is continuous development of the sites Emergency Operations Procedures and Standard Operations Procedures.
  • Promote Critical Engineering Best Practice and promote high standards of Health and Safety.
  • Support the shift engineering teams to ensure correct operation of the critical services of the Datacenters.
  • Maintain a proactive involvement in the on-going technical evaluation of all plant and equipment, and provide suggestions of improvements where appropriate.
  • Ensure site logbook systems are current and correct and maintained in accordance with the respective compliance.
  • From time to time be prepared to work unsociable hours during critical maintenance windows or unforeseen maintenances.
  • Perform any other reasonable duty or request as deemed appropriate by Management.

What are we looking for?

  • Essential experience in facilities, operations or engineering; in a Data Center critical environment.
  • 18th Edition certified (or comparable) electrical qualification, ideally electrical test.
