Industry Consulting Manager in Sheffield

We are currently seeking an Industry Consulting Manager to join our team in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute towards the evaluation and proof of concepts of new products.
• Build enterprise class storage products, development code, and DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Build automation in support of re-certification, upgrade, Evergreen and production support functions.
• Document engineering standards and best practices relevant for production build and support teams.
• Test, certify, and validate storage products and services, ensuring smooth handover to production build, deployment, and support teams.
• Manage all aspects of risks and financial controls to ensure products are engineered within agreed timescales, quality, and budget.
• Provide Level 2/3 production support and coordinate problem resolution.
• Analyse storage system behaviour and baselines, resolve complex IO problems, and recommend storage system layouts.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• University-level degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field with at least 10 years experience.
• Demonstrable experience with Storage platforms in Object area, including Dell EMC ECS, NetApp StorageGrid, Veritas Enterprise Vault, OpenText InfoArchive, Cloudian, VAST, Scality, IBM COS, or Pure.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, MS Azure, NAS, SAN, and backup would be an advantage.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• Knowledge and experience in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Ansible would be an advantage.
• Automation scripting with API (using scripting languages such as Ansible, Python etc.).
• Maintain a positive attitude towards challenges and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility in work scheduling with colleagues in different time zones.
