Overview
In this senior technology leadership role, you drive technology transformation and enterprise architecture for a flagship Life Insurance client within the Life & Pensions sub-sector.
You will lead cross-functional engagement, ensure architecture aligns with business objectives, and shape propositions and roadmaps that scale AI, automation, cloud, data, and cyber security.
You’ll act as CTO for the Life & Pensions sub-sector, translating market insight into differentiated offerings and opportunities.
You collaborate with client leadership to deliver measurable business outcomes and risk-aware, compliant technology decisions.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction across transition, transformation and service evolution for a flagship Insurance client
- Define target technology vision, architecture principles and transformation roadmap with client leaders
- Ensure integration across Cloud, Infrastructure, Networks, Security, AI, Observability and automation
- Challenge investment decisions, priorities, architecture choices and transformation risks
- Maintain alignment of strategic intent with delivery execution from start to finish
- Represent NTT DATA in executive and governance forums
- Translate business-unit challenges into practical technology opportunities and roadmaps
- Lead horizon scanning across AI, automation, cloud, platform engineering, cyber security and emerging insurtech technologies
- Identify, prioritise and govern innovation initiatives and ensure pilots are measurable and scalable across L&G
- Promote reusable architectures and a design-once-well approach to reduce complexity and debt
- Embed security, resilience, regulatory compliance and evidence-based assurance in decision-making
- Link roadmaps to measurable outcomes like cost reduction, resilience, adoption and speed to value
- Define and communicate technology vision and priority themes for the Insurance sub-sector
- Shape differentiated propositions, reference architectures and market-facing thought leadership
- Support opportunity qualification, solution strategy and technical assurance for major pursuits
- Connect account insights with global capabilities and partner ecosystems to create relevant propositions
- Support pipeline development, client relationships and strategic opportunities while maintaining confidentiality and IP controls
- Key requirements
- Technical expertise across Infrastructure, Service Management, Cloud, Network, Cybersecurity, Hybrid Cloud and Digital Workplace
- Proven experience leading enterprise architecture and solution architecture and delivery
- Strong understanding of Life Insurance, Pensions and Asset Management
- Experience working with hyperscalers, ISVs and SI partners
- Experience in pre-sales and solution development during sales cycles
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative and proactive approach in a fast-moving, matrix environment
