As part of our Technology Consulting practice, you will provide advisory architecture to help clients translate strategic intent into tangible change.
You’ll lead defined workstreams, structure ambiguous problems and explain technology choices in business terms.
You’ll collaborate with business and delivery teams to shape architecture across applications, integration, cloud, data, security and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Lead a defined client team or workstream through ambiguity to a value-based outcome
- Structure problems by quickly understanding client context, objectives and technology landscape
- Develop pragmatic architecture options balancing business value, user needs, cost, risk and time to value
- Produce architecture outputs such as current/target views, options, principles, roadmaps and investment recommendations
- Translate business capabilities into application/technology implications with cross-functional collaboration
- Provide constructive challenge and assurance to designs, identifying risks, dependencies and simplification opportunities
- Maintain lightweight governance aligned with strategic intent while enabling agile delivery
- Utilize AI to accelerate research, analysis, option generation and artefact creation with appropriate controls
- Bring in specialist data, cyber, cloud or infrastructure expertise as needed
- Build trusted relationships and communicate recommendations to both technology and business audiences
- Identify client pain points and opportunities and contribute to proposals and client presentations
- Contribute to Technology Advisory propositions, reusable assets and thought leadership
- Manage own workstream in terms of time, risks and commercial implications
- Assist colleagues and teams across Technology and Business Consulting to deliver client solutions
- Key requirements
- Practical experience as Solution Architect, Application Architect or emerging Enterprise Architect
- Experience across multiple solution areas including modernisation, integration, digital platforms or transformation
- Consulting mindset with ability to structure ambiguity, form hypotheses and recommend
- Strong written and verbal communication to explain complex topics to senior stakeholders
- Critical thinking and architecture assurance skills with risk differentiation
- Knowledge of modern application architecture, APIs, cloud-enabled patterns, Dev Ops, agile practices
- Ability to advise on cloud direction without being a specialist cloud engineer
- Experience creating architecture models and decision artefacts
- Familiarity with Archi Mate or UML; Sparx Enterprise Architect is useful
- Commercial awareness of how architecture affects delivery cost, risk and maintainability
- Curiosity about AI and its value while knowing when specialist input is needed
- Collaborative style and influence without formal authority
- Professional services or technology advisory experience
- Experience with digital transformation, cloud strategy/adoption, platform replacement or roadmaps
- Exposure to AI-enabled products or AI decision making
- Familiarity with TOGAF or other architecture frameworks (useful)
