Overview
In this Automation Test Engineer role, you will design, build and maintain automated and exploratory tests for Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Pages and Azure-integrated solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to define test scope and ensure quality across releases, using modern automation frameworks and CI/CD integration. You will contribute to test strategy, reporting and release readiness, while driving continuous feedback and automation improvements. A key focus is delivering reliable, maintainable test suites that reduce delivery risk in a public sector delivery context.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders to define test scope and quality expectations
- Design, develop, maintain and execute automated and exploratory tests across Dynamics 365, Power Pages, portal journeys and Azure-integrated solutions
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Spec Flow and C#
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and quality gates
- Investigate test failures, manage defects through resolution and report quality risks and release readiness
- Contribute to test strategy, automation improvements, and maintenance of test documentation
- Work independently on test activities and support release readiness; travel occasionally to client sites
Key requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams
- Proven experience in Agile delivery environments
- Hands-on test automation with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar, with C# programming
- Knowledge of BDD practices and SpecFlow or Cucumber
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining automated test suites for Dynamics 365, CRM or portal-based solutions
- Strong test design and execution across functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, integration testing
- Experience using Azure DevOps for test management, source control, CI/CD, reporting and defect tracking
- Ability to derive test scenarios from requirements and manage test data, environments and defects
