We are currently seeking a Neo4j Platform Consultant to join our team in London, United Kingdom.
Experience: 6–10 years (3+ years in Neo4j / graph platforms / database engineering)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Neo4j Platform Engineer to build and manage the Neo4j infrastructure layer, ensuring high availability, performance, and secure access to enterprise knowledge graphs. This role is responsible for cluster configuration, performance tuning, and access control, enabling scalable and reliable graph operations that support Graph RAG and AI-driven workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Engineering & Administration
- Configure and manage Neo4j clusters (HA setups, causal clustering)
- Implement and maintain indexes, constraints, and storage optimization
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes
- Performance Optimization
- Tune and optimize Cypher queries for production workloads
- Optimize graph traversal patterns for Graph RAG use cases
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in large-scale graph environments
- Benchmarking & Scalability
- Design and execute query performance benchmarks at scale
- Monitor system performance and ensure high throughput and low latency
- Support capacity planning and scaling strategies
- Security & Access Control
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and security best practices
- Ensure data protection, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
- Align platform security with enterprise governance standards
- Platform Reliability & Operations
- Ensure high availability and uptime of Neo4j environments
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
- Automate operational workflows for efficiency and reliability
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Knowledge Graph Architects, Agentic Platform Leads, and data teams
- Support development teams with query optimization and platform guidance
- Contribute to best practices and platform standards
