Overview
In this role, you will plan and execute end-to-end implementation of a mainframe migration into production, ensuring a controlled cutover. You lead integrated deployment, readiness, and go/no-go governance across technology, operations, business, and vendors. You will drive readiness, data migration activities, and post-go-live support, with a focus on risk, compliance, and efficient handover to BAU. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that shapes large-scale legacy migrations in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the integrated deployment/cutover plan (scope, approach, timeline, dependencies, critical path)
- Lead cutover planning with detailed runbooks, rehearsals, roles, communications, and contingency plans
- Coordinate release and change management activities (CAB submissions, approvals, change records, signoffs)
- Drive environment readiness (capacity, access, monitoring, scheduling, support model, service transition)
- Manage data migration activities with sequencing, validation, reconciliation, and controls
- Orchestrate dress rehearsals and extract lessons to harden runbooks
- Oversee governance activities (readiness reviews, RAID logs, executive reporting)
- Coordinate hypercare/post-go-live activities (incident triage, backlog, stabilisation, handover to BAU)
- Ensure alignment with risk/compliance/audit requirements and third-party/vendor management
Key requirements
- Proven experience in implementation/cutover/deployment management for mainframe or large-scale legacy migrations
- Solid knowledge of z/OS production operations, batch cycles, scheduling, DB2/IMS, CICS, and resilience/DR practices
- Experience running dress rehearsals, cross-team cutovers, and leading go/no-go forums
- Working knowledge of ITIL-aligned change, release, and incident management in regulated environments
- Excellent planning and dependency management
- Calm, clear leadership under high-pressure cutovers
- Strong stakeholder management across technology, operations, business, risk/compliance, and suppliers
