We are currently seeking a BI Analyst to join our team in Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom.

Job Duties:

As a Data Visualization consultant, you will transform complex data into clear, engaging, and actionable visual representations that help stakeholders understand key insights, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Your role will involve collaborating with clients to understand their data needs, designing custom dashboards, charts, and interactive reports, and ensuring that visualizations are both aesthetically appealing and functionally effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions using data visualization tools.
  • Design, develop, and maintain various user-friendly dashboards.
  • Translate and refine customer reporting requests into actionable objectives.
  • Analyze and translate non-technical user requirements into written report specifications.
  • Gather and organize feedback from business users and stakeholders.
  • Employ expertise in best practices for data visualization and interactive user experience.
  • Create and vet complex calculations within data visualization tools to meet the needs of business logic.
  • Maintain detailed documentation through multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Respond to calls, correspondence, and email within department expectations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of data visualization tools and follow best practices.
  • Serve as an operational data visualization expert for the team and the organization.
  • Participate in and drive expectations, meetings, and discussions around reporting requirements, design, infrastructure needs, and project health status with project clients.
  • Think critically and apply appropriate judgment and creativity to a wide variety of information technology issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years designing, developing and distributing dashboards using Tableau OR PowerBI.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with SQL along with one or more server/database administration tools (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience working with MS PowerPoint and Excel, including pivot tables/graphing.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Ability to travel at least 25%.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exercises sound judgment with minimal support from practice executives through structured problem identification, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Team player with a consistent, dependable performance and an excellent work ethic.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
  • Undergraduate degree or graduate degree preferred.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • 5+ years designing, developing and distributing dashboards using Tableau OR PowerBI.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with SQL along with one or more server/database administration tools (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience working with MS PowerPoint and Excel, including pivot tables/graphing.
  • 5+ years experience in Power BI, Tableau or any dashboarding tools.
  • Experience with calling APIs (not a deal breaker but ideal).
  • Experience in Snowflake and some Python understanding (also not a deal breaker but would be nice to have).
