The Head of Business Applications and Platforms Practice is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and evolving a world-class enterprise applications capability. This role will drive practice growth in the UK & Ireland region, support sectored industry-aligned business units in achieving revenue targets, and ensure successful delivery of client engagements. The leader will also be accountable for talent development, presales support, and leveraging global delivery centres in India, Morocco, Romania, etc.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Business Applications and Platforms Practice.
- Build and enhance capabilities across Oracle and Microsoft platforms, with phased development of additional technologies.
- Foster innovation and adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies.
- Partner with sectors to support revenue growth through solutioning and architecture design, proposal development and client presentations, thought leadership and market positioning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee delivery of signed contracts ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for delivery excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across engagements.
- Leverage global delivery centres in India, Morocco and Romania for scalable execution.
- Align global teams with practice goals and delivery standards.
- Promote cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of consultants, architects and delivery managers.
- Drive talent acquisition, retention and career development.
- Cultivate a high-performance, inclusive and collaborative culture.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (10+ years) in leading enterprise application practices or large-scale delivery teams.
- Strong expertise in Oracle and Microsoft enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated success in presales, solutioning and client engagement.
- Experience managing delivery including global teams and delivery centres in a matrix management model.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strategic thinking with a growth mindset.
- Ability to navigate complex environments and drive transformation.
- Familiarity with agile delivery models and cloud transformation journeys.
- Certifications in Oracle and Microsoft platforms are a plus.
