Your day at NTT DATA
The MySQL engineer, specialist or architect supports enterprise MySQL database environments across on-premises, hosted and cloud platforms. The role ensures database availability, performance, security and recoverability.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor MySQL databases, replication, jobs, storage and capacity.
- Resolve database incidents and service requests.
- Perform installation, configuration, patching and version upgrades.
- Administer backup, restore and recovery processes.
- Configure and support replication, clustering and high availability.
- Analyse and optimise queries and database performance.
- Maintain user access, permissions, encryption and auditing controls.
- Support migrations between platforms or hosting models.
- Develop scripts and automation for operational database management.
- Participate in resilience and disaster-recovery testing.
- At senior levels, lead complex performance, corrosion and recovery investigations.
- At L5, define architecture patterns, standards and lifecycle roadmaps.
