As a Head of Specialty Insurance, you will shape and secure some of NTT DATA’s most significant and complex transformation opportunities across the UK Insurance market. Operating within our Insurance Sales function, you will lead multi-tower, competitive deals that redefine how organisations leverage technology to create lasting business value. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role leading a key P&L reporting into the Head of Insurance for the UK&I. You will architect win strategies, orchestrate cross-functional expertise, and influence C-suite stakeholders to position NTT DATA as the trusted transformation partner of choice across the Specialty and Broking market. Your leadership will directly contribute to revenue growth, market differentiation, and long-term client partnerships.
At this level, you are not simply managing bids — you are shaping markets, translating innovation into competitive advantage, and driving disciplined execution across complex pursuit environments.
What you'll be doing:
- Defining and leading the Specialty Insurance GTM team to enhance our service offerings and engage C-Suite to unlock relevant transformation opportunities.
- Identify, lead end-to-end strategic pursuits for multi-tower transformation deals in highly competitive, comparative bid environments.
- Drive the development of our Market Strategy consulting proposition working alongside our practices and partners.
- Shape client strategy early in the lifecycle, engaging pre-RFP to position NTT DATA for success and influence solution direction.
- Orchestrate large, virtual cross-functional teams across Sales, Solutioning, Commercial, Delivery, Legal, and Partners to build compelling, differentiated propositions.
- Develop and execute sophisticated competitive win strategies, informed by market intelligence, client insight, and commercial positioning.
- Integrate complex solution towers into a cohesive, outcome-focused narrative aligned to client business priorities.
- Lead executive governance for strategic pursuits, ensuring risk mitigation, financial rigour, and quality assurance throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Engage directly with client C-suite stakeholders during competitive dialogue, presenting compelling value propositions that resonate at board level.
- Drive discipline, structure, and pace across the pursuit lifecycle to maximise probability of win and deliver measurable growth impact.
- Manage the P&L for the sector, focusing on delivering agreed revenue and profitability metrics.
What experience you'll bring:
- Minimum 15+ years’ experience leading strategic pursuits, capture management, or complex transformation bids within global IT services or consulting environments with a material emphasis on the London Markets, specialty, commercial and/or Broking sectors.
- Proven track record of leading and securing deals of at least £25m+, ideally within the £10m–£75m+ range.
- Commercial acumen and governance discipline, balancing ambition with risk management and financial rigour.
- Executive presence with the credibility to influence C-suite stakeholders internally and externally.
- Track record of leading and overseeing Transformations within the sector, especially leveraging technology to drive infrastructure, data and application modernisation.
- Experience of driving Alliance and Partner strategies which has materialised into direct and inferred revenues within our existing eco-system (e.g. hyperscalers).
- Awareness of Agentic AI/Gen AI solutions and ability to translate these into impactful services for clients.
- Strong competitive strategy and deal-shaping capability — able to identify differentiation levers and convert them into compelling client value.
- The ability to lead through influence, mobilising high-performing virtual teams across functions and markets.
- You operate with confidence, clarity, and integrity — driving outcomes that strengthen client relationships.
