Job Summary: The Data Solution Architect is a senior role within the Data Management Practice responsible for shaping, designing, and articulating data solutions that deliver measurable business value for our customers. This role focuses on translating business challenges into practical, technology-enabled data outcomes—leveraging SAP data expertise, automation, AI-enhanced tooling, and modern data practices. Rather than deep technical execution, the Data Solution Architect acts as a strategic advisor, presales partner, and delivery authority across complex data programmes. You will engage from early advisory and presales through design, delivery oversight, and post-go-live value enhancement, ensuring customers clearly understand and realise the benefits of their data transformation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Core Expertise

• Strong background in SAP Data Migration/Data Transformation with a solid understanding of the underlying data structures, processes, and toolsets.
• Ability to understand and discuss ABAP-based selection and transformation logic at a solution level (hands-on coding not required, but conceptual fluency is).
• Familiarity with SAP table structures, key business processes, and integration points across SAP ERP or S/4HANA.
• Broad understanding of modern data architecture concepts such as data governance, metadata management, data quality management, and master data strategy.
• Awareness of AI-assisted data tooling, automation patterns, and process optimisation approaches.

• Able to translate technical approaches into clear customer value—articulating benefits, risks, timelines, commercial impact, and strategic relevance.
• Strong storytelling ability: can simplify complexity and engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong presales capability: shaping solutions, preparing proposals, supporting bids, and presenting confidently to customer leadership.

• Recognised as a trusted advisor able to influence and inspire stakeholders with credibility and clarity.
• Demonstrated experience guiding multi-disciplinary, multi-location data teams (onshore/nearshore/offshore/partners).
• Sound judgement and decision-making in complex or ambiguous environments.
• Ability to mentor and support emerging talent within the practice.

• Experience across a range of project types: data migration, data quality, transformation, advisory, Brownfield/Greenfield SAP programmes, process harmonisation, or carve-out/merger scenarios.
• Exposure to non-SAP systems and data environments is beneficial but not required.

Required Skills / Attributes:

• Technical & Architectural Skills

• Strong grounding in SAP Data Migration, Data Transformation, and Data Architecture principles.
• Solid understanding of SAP data structures, table frameworks, and core business processes across ERP/S/4HANA.
• Ability to interpret and challenge ABAP-based data selection and transformation logic (conceptual fluency essential; hands-on ability beneficial).
• Working knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Awareness of AI-enabled automation, modern ETL/ELT patterns, and cloud-based data services.
• Ability to design scalable, value-led data solutions that balance feasibility, quality, cost, and risk.

• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value, benefits, risks, and strategic outcomes.
• Strong presales capability: shaping data solutions, building effort models, and contributing to proposals and customer presentations.
• Skilled at leading customer workshops and simplifying technical complexity for diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and overseeing multi-disciplinary global delivery teams.

Personal Profile / Experience:

• 10+ years in consulting, with 5+ years in SAP Data Architecture, Data Migration, or Data Transformation roles.
• Proven track record designing and delivering data solutions across multiple full project lifecycles.
• Experience supporting varied project types, including advisory engagements, data quality initiatives, migrations, and transformation programmes.
• Naturally curious and proactive, with a strong desire to stay ahead of emerging technologies such as AI-driven automation and next-generation data tooling.
• Demonstrates gravitas, integrity, and professionalism, remaining composed and focused in challenging situations.
• A collaborative team player who contributes to the growth of the practice and mentors emerging talent.
• Exposure to non-SAP systems or data environments is beneficial but not essential.
