The P&C Business Partner is a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business strategy into practical, high-impact people plans. This is a blended role combining strategic partnering with hands-on delivery across change, talent, organisational design and employee relations. You will work closely with leadership teams to improve organisational performance, growth and engagement through effective people interventions.
What you'll be doing:
- Strategic Business Partnering: Partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with business priorities and translate this into practical plans. Lead workforce planning, organisational design and effectiveness initiatives to support growth and transformation. Use data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities, influencing decisions through evidence-based recommendations.
- Transformation & Change: Lead delivery of the people agenda across transformation, restructuring and integration activity, including TUPE where relevant. Develop change and communication plans and engage stakeholders to support successful delivery. Assess organisational capability and readiness for change.
- Talent & Leadership: Lead talent and succession planning, identifying critical roles and future capability needs. Support leadership development through coaching and guidance. Partner with Talent Acquisition to shape hiring strategies and build pipelines.
- Employee Relations & Operations: Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence and conduct cases. Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation while balancing risk and commercial outcomes. Coach managers to strengthen people management capability.
- Performance & Engagement: Drive performance management and support engagement initiatives to embed a high-performance culture. Develop retention strategies for key talent and champion inclusion, wellbeing and employee experience.
- HR Leadership & Delivery: Act as the lead P&C partner for your business area, collaborating closely with Centres of Excellence. Lead HR projects, continuous improvement activity and contribute to building a high-performing P&C function.
What experience you'll bring:
- Required: Strong HR Business Partnering experience supporting senior leaders in a complex, matrix environment. Proven expertise in organisational change, transformation and restructuring. Solid employee relations experience and knowledge of UK employment law. Experience delivering talent and succession processes. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to move between strategy and execution.
- Nice to Have: Experience in Technology, Consulting, Professional Services or similar environments. Experience supporting larger employee populations and complex transformation activity. International or multi-country experience.
