Your day at NTT DATA
The Director, Consulting is a leadership role, responsible for collaborating with senior business stakeholders to formulate and implement the consulting services strategy and organizational capability that provides vision and forward direction for the business.
This role takes responsibility for defining and managing a sustainable and profitable consulting practice aligned to the strategy of the overall business and, provides guidance and advice on leveraging service management capabilities to effectively deliver value to clients.
This role aims to increase business value with key clients and to realize pull-through business as a result of consultancy engagements.
This leadership role is responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture across the consulting team(s) within their remit.
Key responsibilities:

Gains support from other business areas and stakeholders to execute strategic plans that align to overall consulting services strategic goals and ensures the implementation thereof.

Oversees day to day activities of a team of consulting professionals in the functional area.

Provides direction to consulting team(s) in complex engagements by generating demand through acting as a subject matter expert.

Develops the required process, policies and tools relating to financial, people, marketing and delivery management and ensures they are in place and managed operationally.

Leverages their relationship skills and knowledge of the client environment to assist and influence the client.

Takes full ownership for managing efficiency levels, streamlining and continuously improving procedures to deliver customer excellence.

Oversees the delivery of client requirements against agreed contracts for relevant consulting areas.

Collaborates with senior leadership to develop strategy and manages implementation to achieve revenue and expense targets.

Ensures that the business unit meet its profitability targets, maximizing revenue per billable resource within agreed cost constraints and without compromising the integrity and standards of the company.

Participates with senior managers to formulate and implement the Consulting Services strategy and organizational capability that provides vision and forward direction for the business.

Sets the standard for client satisfaction and develops client service policies, procedures and standards that will drive optimization and client satisfaction.

Uses understanding of business objectives, market trends and client requirements to develop a consulting service practice and that is aligned to the business strategy and goals and builds a seamless service operation.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology and/or Business Management or a related field.

Scaled Agile certification desirable.

Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred.
Required experience:

Significant level of relevant experience in similar role within a related environment.

Significant previous experience operationally managing and leading a consulting team.

Significant experience dealing with clients and managing service levels.

Significant stakeholder engagement experience at all levels in the organization.

Significant project management experience.
