Procurement Manager – Telecomm and Networking Duration: 6 months Pay Rate: Up to £595 per day (inside IR35 will require umbrella company) Location: Remote, UK We are recruiting for a Procurement Manager within Telecomm and Networking for a business who deliver payroll, human capital management and financial management solutions to organisations globally. This is a 6 month inside IR35 contract which will require you to make use of an umbrella company. Key Responsibilities For assigned suppliers: Ensure all documentation is accurate and maintained within the assigned data tools For renewal or new business needs: Proactively prepare to renew / re-source agreements with expiring term dates Identify and pre-qualify potential suppliers based on business requirements Construct financial and qualitative models to provide fact-based assessments of suppliers’ abilities to meet / exceed company’s needs at competitive price points Lead Internal teams through the strategic sourcing process transactions Draft and negotiate contracts, working with Legal, Finance and Business partners Ensure business strategies drive renewal and/or sourcing efforts, optimizing supplier base and financial targets Complete assigned special projects, meeting schedule and qualify requirements Demonstrate ability to effectively manage projects with a pipeline of sourcing activities and deliver on associated timelines Adopt and utilize Global Supplier Management tools and reporting mechanisms Provide necessary visibility to Global Supplier Management leaders; escalate issues appropriately Proactively maintain and build category expertise by staying informed of industry trends and technology shifts Experienced with spend segment categorization methodology and utilization of spend data to drive category specific strategy and management Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience BA/BS in business, finance, supply chain management or appliable field Minimum of 5 years in focused sourcing/category management environment Experience in comparable procurement (or supply chain) roles Deep expertise in procurement and negotiation techniques; proven ability to deliver favourable agreements which meet business requirements Expert in cost modelling and building business cases Well-versed in supplier management best practices Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions Program management experience Working knowledge with e-sourcing/e-RFx contracting process and tools Able to travel as required Additional Requirements Schedule will be Monday – Friday and core hours will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM If supporting U.S.-based work, but sitting outside of the U.S., flexibility to work U.S. hours will be required.
