We’re supporting our client in the search for a highly organised and proactive Principal Giving Officer to join a growing fundraising and advancement team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and stakeholder coordination experience who enjoys working in a professional, fast-paced environment. The role sits within a high-profile philanthropy team supporting major donor engagement and senior university leadership.
Responsibilities
- Draft professional correspondence on behalf of senior leadership and the fundraising team
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, donor visits, tours, and events
- Take meeting minutes and track follow-up actions
- Maintain accurate CRM records and supporter information
- Support information gathering and preparation for donor meetings and proposals
- Liaise with senior stakeholders and leadership offices
- Assist with campaign administration, reporting, and database updates
- Attend meetings on behalf of the team and communicate key actions
Experience & Skills Required
- Experience using CRM systems – ideally Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising CRMs
- Previous administration or team support experience within a professional environment
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to draft polished emails and correspondence
- Experience managing diaries, inboxes, meetings, and records
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Experience within higher education, fundraising, alumni relations, or charity environments would be highly beneficial.
